My Favorite Editing Tunes You Should Consider for Your First Dance & Reception | Wedding Planning Tips | Lehigh Valley Wedding Photographer | Philadelphia Wedding Photographer
You may be surprised to learn that the bulk of my work comes after the wedding day is over. Yep, that’s right…after the wedding day, my job is far from finished. This is because I have hours of work to invest in my client’s images before my couples receive their final wedding galleries.
After the wedding, I invest anywhere from 8-12 (or more!) hours culling, editing, exporting, and uploading images. Each image gets reviewed one by one. From there, I decide which are “keepers” and which will be culled (a fancy word for “deleted”). Then, the “keepers” get cropped, color-corrected, enhanced and get a second look over to make sure they’re just perfect for delivery. When the average 8 hour wedding yields 800 final images, that should tell you that this is no quick process!
So, what’s a gal to do when she’s got all this time at the computer? Listen to music, of course!
I just LOVE the way music gets me in the mood to edit my couple’s gorgeous wedding images. I find myself gravitating towards music that is soft and romantic, which is completely the vibe I am going for when editing a wedding day.
Many times, I am sitting here listening to the songs and think “Oh! This would be a GREAT first dance song,” so, I am sharing (in no particular order) my FAVORITE EDITING JAMS that you should also consider for your reception or FIRST DANCE as husband and wife:
